I am an integrative organismal biologist, specializing in the biochemistry, physiology and evolution of animal coloration and transparency.
I investigate non-model amphibians that possess interesting optical traits, such as tissues transparency, high infrared reflectance and strong fluorescence emission. To do so, I integrate theoretical and experimental approaches at the interface between organismal biology, protein science, chemical biology, physiology and optics. |
